Philippine Team Dota Players bags P17M because of Dota 2 Tournament !

Not one, but two Filipino e-sports teams have made it to the annual Dota 2 The International 2017 (TI7) event, which is being held at the KeyArena in Seattle from August 7 to 12.

Fan-favorite TNC Pro Team was assigned in Upper Bracket C after passing the group stage match. The team is currently composed of Marc Fausto (Raven), Carlo Palad (Kuku), Samson Hidalgo (Sam_H), Timothy Randrup (Tims), and Team Captain Theeban Siva (1437).

However, they will face the world’s third seed, Chinese team LFY, which they had a tough time competing against in their previous outing.

If they do win, they have to go through two more rounds before going into the best-of-five series at the Grand Finals, where they have a chance to win a whopping $10,402,037 or roughly half a billion pesos.

But basically, they’re already guaranteed a $354,615 (roughly P17.8 million) payday.

If you recall, TNC also made headlines last year after making it to 8th place and bagging $519,262 (roughly P26 million) in last year’s TI6.

Meanwhile, Team Execration will be pitted against European team Secret in the Lower Bracket.
The second Pinoy team consists of Fernando Mendoza (Nando), James John (CartMaN), Ryan Jay Qui (Bimbo), Ralph Richard Peñano (RR) and Team Captain Kimuel Borromeo Rodis (Kim0).

Win or lose, they’ll also be going home with wads of cash since their team is already guaranteed $118,205 (roughly P5.9 million). Check out their recent match against European team OG:
