Filming has not started yet but it seemed Liza Soberano will be going through a lot to prove that she deserves to own the ‘mahiwagang bato’. Here are some of the people who went beyond the line bashing the newly hailed “Darna”.

We can’t blame the bashers for expressing their sentiments in social media since all of us are entitled for our own opinions on all matters especially to public figures. The latest victim of these kinds of netizens who went below the belt dropping what they thought is Liza Soberano.

In some of the tweets and comments that we gathered, many were against the young Kapamilya star because of her nationality. Since Darna is known to be a Filipino superhero, some thought that the role is unsuitable to Liza because she’s half American. In connection with this, bashers also pointed out Liza’s accent and unfurnished Filipino conversational skills. As a result, many memes went out showing the possible outcome of the movie project, if Liza would push through being the new Darna.

The said memes include how Liza would manage Darna’s enemies which bashers believed she would back-out because she’s too shy and not fierce enough to go head on with villains. Speaking of being shy, some also thought that her personality won’t also suit to be a Darna because Liza is known to be very conservative which again became the reason for a possible costume remodification.

With the plan of redesigning Darna’s costume, other Darna fans reacted that the costume should be retained and Liza should be the one to adjust.
